History and origins
Stories connecting the temple with Mai Thúc Loan and Hồ Quý Ly appear in local introductory materials; they should be understood as a layer of historical tradition associated with the destination.
Modern construction dates are clearly recorded: reconstruction began in 2011 after a period of deterioration, and inauguration took place in 2015.
Architecture & surroundings
The complex contains several halls and practice facilities connected by courtyards and mountain paths. Statues, inscriptions and lakes offer places to pause and observe; the former temple foundations are preserved within the new ensemble.
Cultural value
Đại Tuệ combines Buddhist activities with memories of Nghệ An. Visitors can appreciate the cultural meaning of its traditional accounts while distinguishing them from construction dates confirmed by documentation.
Events & festivals
Festival days and practice schedules are announced by the temple for each programme. Please ask for the schedule before travelling, especially for retreats or group visits; the inauguration in 2015 is a past historical event.
