  • Buddha hall, patriarch hall and traditional worship spaces.
  • The 1935 restoration and local Buddhist community activities.

History and origins

Thanh Hóa’s tourism portal cites local records tracing the temple to the Trần period. A specifically documented milestone is restoration in the 10th year of Bảo Đại, or 1935, supported jointly by villagers and the Sangha.

The temple continued to be preserved and repaired and was designated a provincial heritage site in 1998.

Architecture & surroundings

The Buddha hall, patriarch hall, monastic quarters and subsidiary worship areas form a layout serving both ceremonies and practice. Woodwork, stone details, paired inscriptions and the stupa garden help preserve the appearance of a traditional temple within the city.

Cultural value

Thanh Hà sustains Buddhist observances, moral education and community activities. Caring for the historic site in a densely populated neighbourhood preserves a quiet space and cultural memory for the city.

Events & festivals

Tết, Buddha’s Birthday and scheduled observances may attract many Buddhists. Please ask the temple about service times and any registration before attending, so that your visit can proceed smoothly.
