  • A Social Charity Centre founded in 2018
  • Care and support for children

History and origins

The centre’s materials describe the temple as originating in the Lý dynasty, later being destroyed and rebuilt by villagers in 1986. After an abbot took up residence in 2008, a restoration programme proceeded in several phases. The Social Charity Centre was founded in late 2018; its 2023 anniversary also marked the groundbreaking for a large Avalokiteśvara statue.

Architecture & surroundings

The 2009–2015 restoration phase completed the main sanctuary, bell tower and visitor facilities. Plans also include a Mother Goddess hall, library and facilities for Buddhist study, practice and charitable work. Some buildings belong to long-term plans, so ask the temple which areas are open and which remain under construction.

Cultural value

Nurturing and supporting children expresses compassion in everyday life. Visits or volunteer work should be guided by the centre so they address actual needs and protect the privacy of those in its care.

Events & festivals

The celebration marking 15 years of restoration and five years since the centre’s foundation took place on 29 October 2023. The centre continues community activities; please contact it in advance if you wish to participate or organize a volunteer group.
