Highlights

  • Buddha worship halls and ceremonial courtyards on Thành Đẳng Mountain.
  • Views across the Uông Bí landscape.
  • Numerous practice programmes announced on the temple’s website.

History and origins

The temple’s website states that its earliest date has not been fully established and describes historic architectural remains. The year 1705 is associated with restoration by Zen master Tuệ Bích Phổ Giác.

Restorations in 1988 and 1993, followed by more recent construction, shaped its current appearance. New buildings should be distinguished from ancient remains when studying its history.

Architecture & surroundings

Halls, corridors and courtyards follow the mountainous terrain. The scale of the complex makes it important to follow signs and avoid entering private residential areas. Allow time for each space rather than trying to cover everything in one visit.

Cultural value

Ba Vàng is a place of Buddhist community life and pilgrimage in Quảng Ninh. Visitors can learn about its practice through published programmes and maintain a respectful, mindful approach when worshipping or using services around the temple.

Events & festivals

The temple publishes retreat and festival schedules on its own website. Please check announcements close to your visit for registration, arrival times and rules; past programmes should not be treated as a promise that the same event will recur on the same date every year.
