History and origins
According to Đà Nẵng tourism interpretation, construction began in 2004 and the temple was inaugurated in 2010. The origin story of the name Bãi Bụt is a folk tradition, not the construction date of the present complex.
Architecture & surroundings
The complex contains the main hall, patriarch area, lecture hall and supporting buildings. Avalokiteśvara is the principal outdoor landmark; two rows of arhats lead towards the main hall.
From the three-entrance gateway, the route to the main hall passes arhat statues on both sides. The sea-facing Avalokiteśvara distinguishes Linh Ứng Bãi Bụt from Đà Nẵng’s two other Linh Ứng temples.
Cultural value
The temple offers a place for Buddhist worship and an encounter with the Sơn Trà landscape. Maintaining quiet and protecting the ecosystem are part of responsible visiting.
Its mountain-backed, sea-facing layout links it closely to the Sơn Trà peninsula. Stories about the name Bãi Bụt belong to local tradition and should be understood as part of its religious culture.
Events & festivals
Ceremonies and study activities follow temple announcements. The tourism sector advertised “Meditation to Touch Stillness” for 25/7/2026; this is a specific event, not a daily schedule.
