History and origins
Vietnam National Authority of Tourism materials date the temple’s formation to the 18th century. During Minh Mạng’s reign it was named Ngự Chế Ứng Chơn Temple; it was renamed Linh Ứng in the third year of Thành Thái’s reign.
Architecture & surroundings
The temple buildings stand on the mountainside near cave paths and viewpoints. Sacred architecture shares the setting with rock formations and old trees.
The temple is part of Thủy Sơn’s mountain environment, with courtyards, halls and rock scenery. The nearby relic stupa is one stop on the visiting route; allow time for the steps and paths around the mountain.
Cultural value
The temple reflects the connection between Buddhism and the Non Nước landscape. Distinguishing the three Linh Ứng temples in Đà Nẵng helps visitors understand their histories and choose the right route.
Its significance is linked to the wider heritage of the Marble Mountains. When checking directions or photographs, look for Thủy Sơn or Ngũ Hành Sơn to avoid confusing it with Linh Ứng Sơn Trà or Linh Ứng Bà Nà.
Events & festivals
Ceremonies within the temple follow on-site announcements. Events for the wider Marble Mountains area do not necessarily take place in this temple’s courtyard.
