History and origins
The national tourism database records that construction began on 16/7/2013 and inauguration took place on 17/5/2014. This is a 21st-century complex continuing the Trúc Lâm tradition, not a surviving building constructed in the Lý or Trần period.
Architecture & surroundings
The main hall and patriarch hall form the principal axis, complemented by bell and drum towers, ponds and courtyards. Timber columns, tiled roofs and statues create a dignified ensemble. Alongside worship facilities, specialised residential and practice areas require privacy.
Cultural value
The monastery helps introduce the Trúc Lâm Zen lineage in the Mekong Delta. Visitors can learn about Vietnamese Zen in a modern setting whose value lies in daily practice as well as architecture.
Events & festivals
Please ask the monastery about current observances and available retreats. Schedules may change with practice programmes; a normal visit does not mean unrestricted participation in all activities or permission to stay overnight.
